Product Update
Contact Import: June 2026
CSV imports no longer break on title rows, two starter templates are available for download, and more fields import cleanly.
The most common import failure was a title row sitting above the headers. Google Sheets and Excel both add one automatically. That row confused the importer and either stopped the job or silently skipped your real headers. That's fixed.
Improved
- Title row detection: if your CSV has a non-header row above the column names (common in Google Sheets and Excel exports), the importer skips it and tells you it did. Imports that were failing or mapping wrong columns should work now.
- Two downloadable templates: a Simple version with just the core fields and a Full version showing every supported column. Both are in the import drawer.
- Supported columns reference: the Help drawer now lists every field the importer recognizes, so you can prep your CSV before uploading.
- More fields import cleanly: preferred contact method and contact dates (acquisition date, first contact, last contact, next follow-up) all map correctly now.
- Contact type mapping: values like "past client" or "closed client" map to Past Client automatically. You don't need to normalize your export first.
